I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
